Stopped at Union restaurant for lunch on a drive to Acadia national park. The restaurant is located in the very hip Press Hotel. My group and I really like the restaurant vibe and food! I had the “jump start” drink which had apple cider, turmeric, ginger and other healthy ingredients…surprisingly refreshing and not bitter! I had the grain bowl for lunch which was a healthy option that was really good! My husband really enjoyed the fish and chips! The col slaw was also very unique and great tasting. My friend really enjoyed the ham & cheese. Lunch scene on a Tuesday was good! Many filled tables. Would recommend it!
Did it a little different this year. Had Brunch at the Union in Portland and….Oh my….absolutely amazing !!!!
Eggs Benny for me and a hash brown casserole for the rest which I will definitely order next time.
Our Server, Peter, was fantastic. I would totally ask for him again.
Reservations made for two tables. We had separate servers for each table which was a little odd since we were next to each other. It led to different timing in orders and the food came out significantly later for the other table. The food and drinks were delicious though. Pricing was as expected. The decor and atmosphere was nice and they are part of the autograph hotel.
Our bartender Alana was amazing! The drinks were fabulous. Full bar and she didn't miss a beat. Continuously worked with a smile and was very pleasant. Will go back for sure.
Very nice setting for brunch. Top notch mimosa. The lobster benedict was cooked perfectly cooked and the potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. The fish and chips were really good but could have had 1 more piece or half piece. Will definitely be back.
We had breakfast and dinner during a recent stay. Both were very good. We enjoyed sampling/sharing small plates for dinner. The photo is breakfast (avocado toast with lobster; shakshuka). Great location, food, and staff.
My husband and I took an impromptu trip to Portland, Maine during Memorial Day weekend 2023. We drove from Northern New Hampshire. We did not have reservations, but the hostess graciously seated us as they had a cancellation. My husband and I had burgers and waffle chips. I tried a stout, which had a hint of chocolate in it. Very tasty! Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Overall, we had a very positive experience at this restaurant.
The food and ambiance were top notch. The bread was super fresh, salad was delicious, had the special for dinner (Halibut) and it was phenomenal… and the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Truly a great experience and will be back!
